[Launchpad-users] Why not http://launchpad.net/+me ?

I wanted to see my branches and typed <http://code.launchpad.net/+me>,
and was quite confused by the 404 until wgrant told me I needed
<http://code.launchpad.net/people/+me>.  Is there a reason for this?
I can't think of anything else that just /+me would mean...
