Another good way is to browse the ubuntu package pages, e.g: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.5 There's a section under the publishing history called "Other versions of 'firefox' in untrusted archives." If you click on there it will expand and show the top three PPAs, sorted by the uploader's karma, that also contain that package. At the bottom of the expanded section there's a link to search for more PPAs with that package.
