Hi Andrew,
             Thank you for getting back to me on this. Although
writing through launchpad-users would also have been better. This way
others can use this resource or add their own thoughts on the subject
as well.

      I know about packages.ubuntu.com and I do agree its a useful resource.
The issue is that one has to go from another route to know this, why
can't this be integrated within launchpad itself ? As a user if within
one interface I'm able to do this it would be so much easier and
simpler.

One of the reasons I know why it (packages.ubuntu.com) is kept
separate is because Debian users and developers didn't want to
launchpad as it was closed-source before. Now that its open-sourced
completely it would be interesting to see how things shape up/happen.
