-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Does Prometric sabotage Ubuntu !? The company Prometric says in its site that is global leader in test services via computer, attending to the major actors of tecnology market. Prometric has over 3000 test centers in 135 countries. I intend apply to UCP Certification (LPI-199) - Ubuntu's and LPI's website say that Prometric is an option to do this exam. I am 45 years old, I act in the IT industry and the communities of free software for 10 years, who find it convenient to take a closer look kretcheu.com.br Here is my report about how was stressing and frustrating my experience with Prometric. These facts gives the impression that they are sabotaging the LPI, Canonical, Ubuntu and even free software. My marathon started more than 1 week ago, when at march 15th I accessed the Prometric's website to sign me up and book my LPI-199 exam (Ubuntu Certified Professional). Firstly, the website is confusing. Well, I booked the exam to the next day (march 16th) for the test center in Santos (Brazil) - the nearest test center from my home. The payment was made via credit card and I have already paid to the operator of my card. Very effectively in this regard. In the day and time marked attended the test center and after signing the necessary documentation was led to the testing room. The professional has the necessary procedures started testing ended instantly, though I was still sitting. Well, there began the marathon, the test gave problem and after several reboots and logins as well as conversations with the Prometric test center was instructed to give up. Prometric's Web site does not have a link to contact us! You have to access the site map to be redirected to a form and send a message. I did it but I contacted the Test Center. The next day I had again to contact the Test Center and received the information they need to wait at least 48 hours, it seemed absurd. I sent many messages by this form, and only I had some answers on Tuesday following 6 days later, worse, inconclusive answers and away from the solution of the problem. Several more e-mails ended up getting my exam appointed again, this was set for another Test Center in another city, there is 70Km from my home in Sao Paulo. I did not want to go into the merits of this change and today march 24th at the appointed time I went again in a test center for testing. Surprise? Dejavu!? All the same. The same mistake this time it was able to read. Professional Flávio treated me very polite and was very helpful, but the situation was the same. A few more reboots and logins, including the server and nothing. Flavio after a few hours called me saying he had spoken with Prometric and that in two days would give me a position. Results so far: I am 9 days there trying to do the test and Prometric really does not seem minimally interested. Has some unknown reason for this? Unprintable? Imagine the condition that a business owner who wants to take UCP certification and just can not even make the exam. My losses are already significant: four hours of waiting, transportation, parking, fuel expense and toll, was the time writing complaints, talking on the phone and nothing, nothing! Almost 10 days and still no solution, it makes you want to give up, but I am Brazilian and I don't give up EVER! I hope you can help me or know someone who could. Thank you very much.
