I've added some last missing bits (default does not have to start with
a letter, but number-only defaults are reserved).

I think we should add that having a default image is a MUST, too.

The spec should also state what libravatar is for, and all the things
from http://wiki.libravatar.org/api/ need also to be added (SRV records,
client fallback to libravatar.org etc.).
