Title:
Handling background by external program
Status in LightDM GTK+ Greeter:
New
Bug description:
Hello,
First of all, this is not a bug, but feature request. Currently
lightdm-gtk-greeter doesn't have ability to handle multimonitor
backgrounds. According the sources it simply sets the same background
for every monitor. It's possible to set background using "greeter-
setup-script" in lightdm configuration, but this will be overwritten
by "background" option (if the "background" option isn't specified the
screen will be fillen with default black color). IMO, it would be
useful to allow setting background by external program (feh, etc) if
the "background" option is empty. I've modified lightdm-gtk-greeter
(trivial patch is attached) and use feh as background setter, so far
it works fine.
