The screen artifacts should no longer occur.  We introduced several
workarounds to fix this issue.  Please let me know if this is still
affecting you with lightdm-gtk-greeter 1.8.4

Bug description:
  I locked my session using light-locker, and lightdm showed my desktop
  area with my e-mail accounts in thunderbird. Is it a know issue?

  I don't know if this bug is related to bug #1267742 .

  I'm using nouveau driver.
