[Bug 912595] Re: l-m-c fails on vexpress due to a change in u-boot name
The ARM LT's changes to U-Boot which caused this name change don't seem
to have been accepted upsteam and we will be dropping U-Boot in favour
of UEFI in a couple of months. In which case, it makes sense for our
changes to be dropped from Linaro's U-Boot. This will cause the U-Boot
name to revert to the old one.
I believe that for a couple of months, jcrigby did some packaging foo so the u-boot package contained binaries under both the old and new names. If this is true, then it would be useful if this could be done for the next couple of months also, until the U-Boot changes are reverted. Then the Platform team's 'vexpress' board type can continue to use the old U-Boot name, and the ARM LT's board type can use UEFI. (It will be a new board type to replace 'vexpress_a9' which will work any vexpress no matter the coretile used A5/A9/A15
)

Status in Linaro Image Tools:
New
Status in Linaro U-Boot:
New
Bug description:
Found while testing QEMU. linaro-media-create looks for u-boot in
ca9x4_ct_vxp. Some time between 2011.08 and 2011.12 this was changed
to vexpress_ca9x4.
Note that the package is still called u-boot-linaro-ca9x4-ct-vxp.
