Minutes from tech leads call 2011-05-26
Hi
Also at:
https://wiki.linaro.org/EngineeringUnits/Management/Meetings/2011-05-26
Cheers,
== Attendees ==
* David Rusling
* Fathi Boudra
* Ilias Biris
* Loïc Minier
* Christian Reis
* Michael Hope
* Stephen Doel
* Amit Kucheria
* Zach Pfeffer
== Minutes ==
* CARRIEDOVER: Kiko to send an email to techleads@ as to request that they announce it to key interested parties
* CARRIEDOVER: Kiko to update the Openings page
* CARRIEDOVER: Stephen to create a document to host the achievements and then pass it to techleads
* DONE: Stephen to ask owner of ask.linaro.org to fix https:// support
* CARRIEDOVER: Joey to organize a discussion on release management process
* Release update
* Candidate for 11.05 release
* Issue with hwpack build -- not fixed in l-i-t 0.4.7
* Boot failure is one issue in oem-ibs
* Another build issue with Offspring
* Monthly reports -- anything to highlight?
* Linaro GCC release, as usual
* GDB testsuite is now on par with x86! about 50-60 testsuite failures initially, Ulrich just worked through this and killed the related gdb or kernel issues
* Unity 3D / nux support seems to be at risk for friday but would land in the next month
* Cycle changes - release management process
* Making releases.linaro.org easier to use
* TWG happy with launchpad.net hosting, but will need some nicer download page if they start doing a LTS release on top of the monthly release
* Mostly web UI related changes
* Joey will probably collect individual feedback from techleads on cycle changes
* Linaro assignees from Canonical should have gotten email from Marianna
* Techleads, please check that your team's hardware is documented properly on the new hardware spreadsheet
* Linaro GCC - getting closer to R/M toolchain?
* Working in the upstream FSF repo would be a nice move from a community perspective
* Launchpad is a bit of a walled garden, even if technically superior; albeit code is publicly available and developed very openly
* People would like to consume a stream of patches; these are available from upstream, but it doesn't really make sense to consume them directly as you need to pull updates to the patches, followup fixes, or pre-dependencies of these patches
* Could push a mirror of Linaro GCC to SVN
* Sprint
* Need conference phones, but only in some rooms; video not really needed
* Also Dublin Ubuntu/Canonical sprint coming up; do you need to send someone for coordination?
