Re: Handling technical debt

 

Wow. This is the first time in my employment history where someone a)
knows what tech debt is and b) is not me trying to force the fixes.
Impressive.

Yes you can pilot this but to keep administrivia low, I'd just add a
tag for it vs anything else.    So  "techdebt" or "XXX" which is
another accepted but less know format for it.

The other piece to this is reporting. It's easy to do on a per
software package level but across a whole distro (or two in our case)
it's a little harder.  Bug tagging seems to be the best and easiest
way that I can think of after being at work for 20 minutes after a
long holiday break. :-)
