Re: TLs/PMs - FEEDBACK NEEDED: Status.linaro.org
On 29/09/12 16:40, the mail apparently from Ilias Biris included:
Hi folks
http://status.linaro.org/lane/2012I3.html
status.l.o is working once again thanks to the excellent effort from
Loic and Danilo (thanks folks!). Before asking you to link blueprints to
cards I would like to raise the question whether we want to maintain
status.l.o for future use.
- Do you want to use s.l.o? [Y/N]
Since you're sending this to me I feel enabled to answer... no. I don't
care about it at all and nobody from TI has ever mentioned it to me.
- If yes, are your teams committed to link blueprints to cards and keep
updating BPs as needed in order to show progress top-down? [Y/N]
If you answered yes in the questions above, then see [1] on how to link
BPs to cards. Otherwise please share your reservations/concerns and
suggestions. Given that the service has had its ups and downs and
requires maintenance investment (eg to fix issues, or to do updates if
there are changes in JIRA) I think we should carefully consider what to
do with it.
I for one would vote yes on both questions, while we use LP for
day-to-day work.
I use LP as well for bugs nobody has ever mentioned in a bug or
otherwise cared to my knowledge about status.linaro.org.
Rather than asking me (especially as a Landing Team lead
"fake-tech-lead") why don't you mine the webserver logs and objectively
determine how much impact status.linaro.org has?
-Andy
Thanks
Ilias
[1] Linking Blueprints to JIRA cards - HowTo
You can link your LP blueprints to JIRA cards by doing the following:
- open your blueprint(s) in LP
- in the whiteboard Meta: section add the corresponding CARD-NNN id from
JIRA
For example blueprint:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linaro-license-protection/+spec/contact-data-collection-for-eula-publishing
has the meta tag:
Roadmap id: CARD-150
which links it to JIRA CARD-150.
You can do this linking for your I3 cards. The list of cards per area
currently targeted for I3 delivery - which end on October 26 - is shown
at the following URL, check your cards:
