In reality, no one really knows. Generally speaking, boards with a
greater SDK than 00100 tend to be V3s. You can tell by the type of chip
next to the Micro SD card slot. V2s have a big M on them, V3s have hynix
written on them.

Bug description:
  There are currently no Linaro images which support flashing onto the
  board.

  ************************* IMPORTANT **************************
  If a flash is attempted on a v2 Snowball with a Linaro image 
    created using the Landing Team hwpack, it will not boot.
  *************************************************************

  To revive an un-bootable board please download the image held on
  http://igloocommunity.org/support/Downloads and re-flash.
