[Bug 810514] Re: Changes in Main Menu not picked up by gnome-do

I think this may be a two pronged issue.

1. Do does not pickup changes to the Main Menu until I restart Do. If
this is what you are working on, that is great!

2. In some cases, Do does not pickup changes to the Main Menu even after
a Do restart. Not sure what those "cases" are, but I can tell you I did
something along these lines:

* create menu item
* not showing up in Do, so I restart Do
* I see my menu that I created with an incorrect comment
* deleted menu item and recreated it with the correct comment
* restart Do
* now I saw the comment changed, but realized the command wasn't working
* updated command
* restart Do, but changes did not kick in

I'm not at my Ubuntu machine right now, so I can't test this out. If I
were, I would try removing and recreating the menu item.

 that I was updating the "command" portion of a Main Menu entry, and Do
was not picking up the change - i.e. it kept running the command with
the old parameters. On the other hand, at some point I had removed and
added the item again and Do did pickup

Title:
  Changes in Main Menu not picked up by gnome-do

Status in Do:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Reproduction:
  Using UBUNTU 10.10
  * launch gnome-do
  * System > Preferences > Main Menu and add a new menu item
  * activate Do and search for the item

  Unexpected result:
  * the item isn't found by Do

  If you change an existing item's command (or parameters), Do does not
  seem to pick this up.
