[Bug 825870] Re: OpenShot unable to select middle part of .MTS files

 

I corrected the input file.

ffplay and melt both show the input file with sound and video in sync. 
ffplay shows the file perfect, melt plays the file with white pixels in people moving, an artifact I also have in the output file.

I did some extra actions here. When I start from scatch and create a
simple project with just this fragment then the problem doesn't occur.
Also when I reimported the .mts file again then the problem seem to
solve. I can imagine that the problem is difficult to reproduce.

The output of the ffmpeg -i command on the input file is as follows:

Bug description:
  When I select a middle part of imported .MTS file, the resulting
  fragment has the correct part for the audio, however the selected part
  of the video is from the start.

  Input format: .MTS (AVCHD), 1280x720, from Parasonic Lumix TZ7
  Output format: Web - Vimeo SD Widescreen - Square NTSC Widescreen - Average
  Platform: OpenShot 1.3.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 on Intel Q8300
