[Bug 823941] Re: after cutting two times, third part of video starts from begining

Checked now on older versions clean installs, yes - melted goes forward
even when should move backwards (using h key). Seems to be bug of
underhood. Any good format suggestions to convert videos to avoid such
trouble?

Thanks for info and help!

Title:
after cutting two times, third part of video starts from begining

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
I make new project, import two phone recorded video clips (m4v, H.264
  / AVC, 720 x 480, audio: MPEG-4 AAC , 16000 Hz, 96 kbit). I cut away
beginnings of clips (~10 sec) - it works fine. I cut remaining part to
two - first got speed up to 2 times the speed. Second will start
exactly where a whole clip started (even 10 sec I cut earlier is still
shown) - so begins the clip again. Change in beginning and end of clip
times doesn't change anything on second part. I upgraded libmlt++3 to
0.7.2 (using kdenlive ppa, was 0.6.2 before), but its didn't help
either. Also bug appears when I have converted video to avi format
  before.

(Now trying to upgrade melt to 0.7.4, but OpenShot seems broken even
  to start.)

  1) Linux Mint 11
  2) PPA: sudo apt-cache policy openshot
