[Bug 567677] Re: Recording scheduling error
This is an update to the previous bug and I may need to report it as a separate bug. But here is more info based upon recent testing.
Recording Start time and end time are shifted one minute early on random shows although the same shows in the same time slot each night seem to have this happen night after night or every week if it is a weekly show. This situation causes tuners to be reserved for show too early where it leads to having the tuner unavailable to record. This happens on the Silicon Dust two tuner box. Not sure about a single tuner system. Although a long time ago when I had a single tuner this problem did not seem to happen. This ongoing problem since at least 10.04 LTS and I’m reporting it against 11.10. My system: Athlon X2 (245)proc and a Gigabyte M68M-S2p mobo, Silicon Dust Tuner and Pvr-1600 tuner.

Title:
Recording scheduling error
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Expired
Bug description:
On Mythbuntu 10.04 vs 9.10 program scheduling seems to have more
conflicts when recording back to back shows (same or different
channels). From time to time even though a show to be recorded is one
that ends on the top or bottom of the hour, yet, it one minute off the
ending time. This even happens at the beginning of program so it is
even one minute off (late). So, it is a 28 or 58 minute program. What
this leads to, whether it is the same or different channel, is
scheduling conflicts. The next program right after it is flagged as a
conflict, and that program is a "good" 30min or 60min program. I have
one or channels that do this error and the others are OK. Even though
I try to correct the "bad" program the EPG does not clear the
conflict. I use only EIT. Make back to back recording impossible in
some cases.
