Provide you with an updated version of what? What are you removing?

Openshot needs version 2.56 or greater of Blender to use the 3D animated
titles feature. Previous versions of Blender are not compatible with
that feature. But Blender is not a direct dependency of Openshot, it is
optional.  Openshot will still work without it, albeit without the 3D
titles feature.

  executable is correct.  This setting should be the path of the
  'blender' executable on your computer.  Also, please be sure that it
  is pointing to Blender version 2.56 or greater.

  Please provide us with an updated version becasue evedently removing
  this removes our abillity to use the video editor in Studio vrsions of
  Ubuntu..Not Cool.
