[Bug 901711] Re: No audio when exporting to MOV with AC3 codec

@Cenwen Thanks for the comment. I'm happy to go with the workaround for
now and just wait for a new version of MLT. Will the new version of MLT
be included in the OpenShot PPA, or shall we basically have to wait
until the release of Ubuntu 12.04?

Title:
No audio when exporting to MOV with AC3 codec

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
  OpenShot 1.4.0
  Installed from OpenShot PPA
Ubuntu 11.10 (completely up to date)
FFmpeg compiled from source, version 5:201112071053-git-1

  SUMMARY:

An MP3 that was originally encoded with pcm_s16le in FFmpeg plays in
the preview of the OpenShot project, but when OpenShot exports a video
using the ac3 audio codec, the audio from the pcm_s16le encoded MP3
fails to carry over into the newly exported video.

However, when exporting to MOV using pcm_s16le, the audio is re-
  encoded without a problem.

  WHAT HAPPENED:

I exported a .mov with the following settings:

  Video Format: mov
  Video Codec: libx264
  Bit Rate: 5Mb/s

  Audio Codec: ac3
  Sample Rate: 44100
  No. of Channels: 2
  Bit Rate : 128 kb/s

And the video came out fine, but there was NO AUDIO.

  WHAT HAPPENED NEXT:

I exported exactly the same project as .mov with these settings:

  Video Format: mov
  Video Codec: libx264
  Bit Rate: 5Mb/s

  Audio Codec: pcm_s16le
  Sample Rate: 44100
  No. of Channels: 2
  Bit Rate : 128 kb/s

  And the AUDIO WAS OK.

  POSSIBLY RELEVANT:

When I recorded the original webcam + audio MKV in ffmpeg, the audio
  codec used was pcm_s16le.
