exporting to dvd does not work, results in 0 byte file, probably need packages from the sunab ppa repository.
though needed to export this project first, because might not work  with sunab repo packages.

exported it to mp4 h264, aac.  and it exported correctly without the audio stutters.
so it's all good.

im going to try the newer mlt packages on next project to see if it
results in a more stable openshot experience (less segmentation faults)

Title:
  audio stutter upon every start of frame on series of images

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:

Bug description:
  xubuntu 11.10
  repository installation plus   x264 & debian sdl pulseaudio package
  openshot 1.4

  
  details:
  bunch of video clips with audio track, no stutter

  followed by
  series of images alternating on two tracks with audio track
  stutters on start of every image

  tried muting the audio, helped on images on 1 track, then program
  segmentation fault, but changes saved.

  restarted, stutter on all images again.

  tried the video flicker workaround of moving images after stutter to a
  new track.  helped a bit.  but on restart, everything is stuttering
  again.

  also, without the images, audio does not stutter.

  This bug was not present in slideshow of images created before on same system.
  (before some upgrades and installations of course.)

  
  if can't find fix, will probably create separate project with images as workaround.
