Title:
The behaviour of gnome-do in Jaunty is different if started
automatically on login or started through the terminal
Status in Do:
Expired
Bug description:
Hi, I have the following problem.
When gnome-do is started automatically on login, some applications are not indexed.
For instance, I installed soapui, created a soapui.desktop file under /usr/share/applications. Using gnome-do to access the application "SOA" and then selecting the application, a "This application could not be indexed." message is shown instead of the name specific name.
If gnome-do is killed and started from the desktop through the menu,
the same applications are not indexed. In other words, the same
behaviour repeats.
If, in the same session, gnome-do is killed and started from the
command line, the applications not indexed in the previous steps are
available, so I can use gnome-do to launch soapui seamlessly.
And my question is, is the application indexing procedure dependent on the way gnome-do is loaded?
How can I fix that?
Cheers,
tnarik
