  Preview playback slown and choppy

Bug description:
  I am new to Openshot, and when starting a new project, I imported a
  video clip and an audio clip into a project and try to play it back in
  the preview window, both the audio and video run extremely slowly and
  in a choppy manner. It also does this when I import a photo or an
  audio file on its own. I have see that there are potentially some PPA
  fixes for this, but I don't know which one is the right or official
  one (if there is one), and I also am not used to troubleshooting on
  the terminal, as I am new to Linux-based OS.
