Title:
work space switcher breaks 10.04 & 10.1
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have reinstalled each of these releases several times on two different computers.
One is an EeePC and the other a GigiByte mother board.
Once installed they initially work fine as long as you don't increase the number of rows and columns in the work space switcher.
If you do and you turn off the computer and back on the work space switcher preferences window starts blinking at a random rate and one can no longer resize or move windows.
This computer I am using now is a third computer with an earlier release of 10.04
and it is not affected. I have 32 virtual screens as we speak right at the moment.
I can shut down and boot back up no problem.
Nautilus 2.30.1 Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx - released in
April 2010
I also installed Fedora 16 on the Gigabyte mother board but there is no work space switcher as far as I can find.
However it works fine. I have been using the switcher for as long as it has been available going back several releases of Ubuntu.
I have been using Linux on the desk top for 15 years handling as many as 100 emails a day and maintaining several hundred thousand files for my newsletter.
I would also like to see a utility that would print the hardware
details of any computer I was using. So far I have not found such a
utility.
