Bug description:
  Binary package hint: chromium-browser

I'm not sure if it was a GNOME or an Ubuntu decision, but removing the
ability in the "Preferred Applications" GNOME capplet to use a
customized command-line to open HTTP URL links in a preferred web
browser in a customized way, _really_ irritates me. I guess this is a
two part issue: 1) that Chromium apparently can't be screwed to give
users the option to open URLs in new windows, and 2) that GNOME
capplet guys zealously remove options with absolutely no regard to
advanced users and commonly used advanced options.

I've not yet found a way to work around this either. I even tried
setting the preferred http* handlers in gconf-editor to open a shell
script that in turn opened the URL with "chromium-browser --new-window
$*", but that didn't work either, oddly enough.
