The DVD import/ripping functionality was removed from MythTV starting
with version 0.24 (i.e. last version that had it was 0.23). I don't know
how that corresponds to which versions you support.

  Mythbuntu Theme missing icons for importing a DVD

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When going into "Import a DVD" I receive the following errors in my
  mythfrontend log. The text is also smaller and to the left in the
  frontend, it should be centered.
