The imported image length refers to the length the image will default to
when you drop it on the timeline. In the project files tree the length
of images defaults to 5 minutes.

  Ubuntu 12.04, Openshot 1.4.2, libmlt4

  Whatever number I set in preferences for "Imported image length"
  doesn't seem to matter. After import image length is always set at 5
  seconds.
