Sorry for the delay.

Finally, I found the time to do a test. You could see screenshots below.
I've got no issue with, all seems perfect at least for me. And i don't know what advices and track to resolve this problem.
I've just done a quick test with presets of the first tab following your indications. Like the results are good, I've not search more.
You could do perhaps two things to my mind.
- try to update your version of MLT to the last 0.8.1. 
- try to use the sven 'PPA.
