I'm sorry, I did not noticed that the upgrade process did not upgraded
these packages:

libmlt++3 melt

But upgraded these:
frei0r-plugins libmlt-data libmlt4

I don't know if this can be a problem.

I I try to upgrade melt or libmlt++3 from PPA, it ask me to remove the
"openshot" package, maybe there are some dependency problem.

  Gamma effect with decimal value does not work

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
  OS: Ubuntu 12.04
  Openshot version: 1.4.0 (from Ubuntu repository)
  libmlt version: 0.7.6

  If I apply to the clip a "Gamma" effect, with value 1.5, in the
  resulting video no gamma is applied.

  Setting value 2.0 to Gamma effect, it works correctly.

  I think that the problem is the numeric regional settings, I'm Italian
  so we use the comma as decimal separator (see screenshot attached).
