[Bug 481666] Re: Feature request: Timing count on clip previews

** Summary changed:

- Feature requests: Various
+ Feature request: Timing count on clip previews

** Description changed:

Ubuntu Karmic - 9:10. Openshot - 0.9.53 via PPA (latest PPA as per Nov
  5th post)

  1. Black (colour) clip: A clip of just black (or other colour) video is
often required. Whilst an image can be created in the Gimp or Inkscape
and then imported, it would be useful to be able to create/insert such a
  clip directly within Openshot. [DONE]

  2. Timing count on clip previews: Whilst there is a timing/position
count for the 'production' video/timeline it would be useful to have a
similar count for the preview of imported clips.

  3. Snap to cursor/marker and across tracks: Unless it is a bug, at
present the snap function only appears to work when adding a clip to the
end of another clip on the same track. It would be useful if the snap
function could also operate for the current cursor position, any markers
- and to the end of a clip on a different track.
+ and to the end of a clip on a different track. [covered by another bug]

  4. Highlight of selected clip: At present there is no indication of
which clip on the timeline has the focus. Perhaps a coloured outline
- could be added to the clip that has the focus.
+ could be added to the clip that has the focus. [covered by another bug]

  5. Keyboard control: As there is already some keyboard control, this is
probably planned but all commands should have keys associated with them.
Also, it would be useful to be able to move quickly to the beginning/end
of the timeline with something like pressing Home/End and to move
- between markers by pressing something like PGUP/PGDN.
+ between markers by pressing something like PGUP/PGDN. [covered by
+ another bug]

  6. Positioning and edit of 'quick pre-sets': I wanted to show two clips
one on top of the other, where each clip took up half of the video area
and represented the central half of each track. I tried using the 1/4
top and bottom left and then changing the settings via 'properties', but
it just changed the path of the 1/4 size area. Again, this is probably
planned, but it would be useful to be able to either edit the pre-set
layouts and/or have a custom option. Perhaps one method would be to have
a viewport (an outline box) displayed on the pre-view screen initially
set to the chosen pre-set. This viewport could then be adjusted by
moving any of the corners to change the size/shape of the selected area,
or by moving the whole 'box' to select any given area of the original
- clip.
+ clip. [covered by another bug]
