Yep, I see that also.  I think I might have just figured it out.  I just
checked in a "potential" fix... but I'm still testing it.

  Black output after cutting clips

Bug description:
  After cutting a clip some parts of the clip become black.

  1. Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit Dutch
  2. OpenShot 1.4.3-alpha3

  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Drag a clip (movie or image) to the timeline (any format)
  2. Cut it 2 times
  3. Push play or drag the playhead

  Result: some parts of the clip shows only black in the preview window

  As far I can trace it back, this is introduced after version
  1.4.3-alpha1 of OpenShot.
