What is 'Use Smooth Scaling' set to in your preferences? If your version
of MLT is greater than 0.6.0 (I think) this should be set to Yes.

Bug description:
  to reproduce:
   - import svg or create a text title
   - put in the time line
   - right click and add transition zoom
  watch the output on internal viewer or export to see jerky animation.
  I run version 1.4.3 of OpenShot on ubuntu 12.04
