[Bug 736787] Re: Crash at exactpoint of video cut and image insertion

As this is an old bug report, are you able to verify if it is still a
problem using version 1.4.3 of OpenShot and version0.8.2 of MLT?

Title:
Crash at exactpoint of video cut and image insertion

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Debian Unstable using standard Debian Package from Debian Repository.
  Open Shot v1.3.0

Not long after transitioning from image to .ogv file (created with
RecordMyDesktop) I stopped the video playback. Cut the .ogv track,
grabbed it and shifted the remainder to the right. I then inserted
into the gap created a new image. I did not adjust the length of this
new image. I then hit play to continue playback from the point of the
cut (where I should have seen the image displayed) and it immediately
  crashed out.

I returned to a recent save point and repeated the processes (which
included removing a transition and replacing it with a two second fade
in and fade out of the first image and .ogv files) and attempting to
repeat the positioning from before. At the point where I had inserted
the second image and just before hitting video playback again I hit
save. This time Open Shot did not crash (ie this crash is not easily
  reproducable).

I will save a snapshot of the .osp file after this second (non crash)
run and can let you have this, and the relevant raw input components
  if that will help.
