You must update your version of Openshot (last dated 1.4.3.) and MLT
(0.8.8) and try again.

BTW : Ubuntu 11.10 will not be supported soon. When Raring 13.04 will be
out in fact. You should think to update your Ubuntu version at this period
(April) either Ubuntu Raring 13.04 either Ubuntu Precise 12.04 which is a
Long Term Support for 5 years.
