That would be nice, but sometimes bugs in the libraries only become
apparent after release. Also, sometimes the versions in the official
repositories are outdated, so restricting to a specific version wouldn't
really work.

  The mute audio option doesn't work. Not in the preview, and not in the
  final render. Not for the whole track, not for individual clips.

  Version of OpenShot = 1.4.3 (PPA installation)
  Version of melt = 0.5.4
  FFmpeg: version: SVN-r0.5.9-4:0.5.9-0ubuntu0.10.04.3
