We can't fix this in OpenShot. You might have better luck if you use a
later version of MLT, but the underlying issue is that ffmpeg doesn't
handle certain OGV files very well (which is why it works ok when you
transcode it).

  Version of Openshot installed : 1.4.3

  MLT/melt version: 0.7.6
  FFmpeg (i.e.libavcodec) version : None
  FFmpeg installation :

  I cut the first two seconds of my OGV file and now the preview begins with the 16' scene and it seems accelerated.
  However  it worked after I convert my original OGV file to MP4 (h264).
