[Bug 1216529] Re: Cut clips don't play/export correctly (gray)
Thank you for the reply. I tried Kazam, was amazed at how much better it
is at everything (didn't even know it existed...). And it seems to have
solved my issue! Thanks a ton.
As for the problems with ffmpeg2theora... If OpenShot can't fix it, it
might be beneficial to show some sort of warning when trying to handle
those files, if that's possible? I'm sure there must be more formats
that don't quite want to behave (considering how there's codec packs
marked -bad and -ugly out there)...

Title:
Cut clips don't play/export correctly (gray)
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
New
Bug description:
I record my desktop with RecordMyDesktop, which works just fine.
However, OpenShot seems to have some trouble handling the ogv files
RecordMyDesktop makes - every time I cut an ogv clip in half (with the
C key), it doesn't seem to be grabbing the last keyframe's data before
the start of the newly cut clips. So I get to see a whole lot of gray
for a while (until another keyframe is hit).
An example of the bug can be seen here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jt8r-KKPkU&t=1m23s
At around 1 minute, 23 seconds.
If the original video is needed, I'll be happy to provide it, but I
think this bug may occur with every ogv file. Or at least every file
RecordMyDesktop produces.
