  app crashes when switching from edit to cut

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
  hi there 
  32 bit ubuntu 11.04 (the lastest one)
  opens shots 1.4.3
  installed via software center

  if i am running the program for more than 5 mins the app crashes, and
  sometimes the whole computer freezes.

  I can put my finger on exactly what it is that is causing this problem
  but it seams to be when there are lot of files loaded into the
  project.

  if i am viewing a clip and stop it, then try and change from pointer
  to cut mode the app become non responsive. If i let the clip finish
  playing this will crash the whole computer.
