[Bug 802382] Re: Suggestion/Wishlist KenBurns effect in "Add to timeline" option
+1 on this, I really miss it a lot. Trying to somehow "simulate" Ken
Burns via zooming and offset values is simply awkward. It would be very
nice to somehow have sensible "automagic" (random) values and be able to
specify the effect manually, say, like by specifying a "start" rectangle
and "end" rectangle on the image itself.

Title:
Suggestion/Wishlist KenBurns effect in "Add to timeline" option
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
Confirmed
Bug description:
One of the cutests effect for making "still-images" presentations is the Ken Burns effect.
If I remember correctly, you can simulate it in Openshot with "key
frames".
If would be very nice to add it directly as an "effect", and allow to
apply it directly in the Add To Timeline option, this way you could:
- Import a folder of JPG images to the project.
- Select all in the "project files" view.
- Right Button -> Add To Timeline -> N seconds -> Random Ken Burns Effect
- Profit!
- If you want to "modify" any of the "random" kenburns (because you prefer a given zoom or pan in a concrete image) -> right click in the image -> effect properties -> change kenburns effect properties.
I currently use images + random transitions, but some photo
presentations would be better with ken burns and openshot doesn't seem
to allow to use that effect easily.
Please, add this effect :-)
Thanks!
PS: Very happy anyway with Openshot, it's the first time in 15 years
under Linux that I can edit my videos in my fav. O.S.
