Actually, I'm still having problems, even with uncorrupted files...my
computer crashes part way through....for a while I was just incorporating
the new mpeg into the video, which seemed to get me a minute more, but the
last time I did this I only got about six seconds more time.  Just having
Openshot open, without trying to process, uses about half my computer
memory, and 22% of my CPU capacity.  The Openshot file for the video is
about 114 kb.

Title:
  crashes while exporting video

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I have attempted four or five times to export a video to upload onto
  Youtube, and the program always crashes at the 3:19 point.  It's about
  an eight minute video.  It is not unusual to have Open Shot crash, but
  this crash makes it impossible to export a video, which is very
  annoying!

  Not sure if I'm 64 or 32 bit.
  I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
  installed via Synaptic, as far as I can recall
  Openshot version 1.4.0
  don't know the answers to the remaining questions

  I attempted to use the fix in the "crashing or fails to launch" link,
  couldn't get it to work
