[Bug 774880] Re: usb-uirt failure(s)
We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve
Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The
biggest one is that upstream believes this to be fixed in the latest
version. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in the
latest version?
Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a
new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer
versions.

Title:
usb-uirt failure(s)
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Using Mythbuntu amd64 with Natty and usb-uirt, the module fails to
load correctly. Logs indicate lirc tries to install the module 2 or
three times, each time failing. Something then installs it as a 232
port.
I can offer logs and such, but I'm not sure what you would need, so
I'm not sure what to offer. Feel free to contact me for more info.
$ sudo irw
connect: No such file or directory
$ sudo irw /dev/ttyUSB0
connect: Connection refused
I believe connection is refused because it didn't launch with lirc,
instead it's a normal FTDI 232 port.
Machine is a dell latitude D620 64 bit
