[Bug 1254352] Re: lirc don't read the mce IR receiver when there are several PCI TV capture cards
We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve
Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The
biggest one is that upstream has moved on to a new version and believes
this to be fixed. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in
the latest version?
Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a
new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer
versions.

Title:
lirc don't read the mce IR receiver when there are several PCI TV
capture cards
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Expired
Bug description:
I can not choose the USB IR receiver (MCE remote) when there are
several TV capture cards. From what I understand the lircd daemon law
by default the first IR receiver that finds the system during the boot
and the USB port is recognized after all PCI devices. I could not find
a way to choose the IR receiver for me more comfortable. I was able to
see the IR receiver just by inserting it in the xorg.conf, but in
doing so not all keys are correctly recognized. In an old installation
(ubuntu 9.04) the same receiver and remote control worked perfectly.
