[Bug 1482945] Re: Suggestion (Your page says I can use this to make suggestions)
Hi,
And thanks a lot to help you to improve Openshot.
@1
Effectively, that will be great.
@2
It is already done in the Development branch for Openshot Qt 2.0. It is one of reasons we have developed our own video framework : Libopenshot.
@3
HUm not sure that will be possible without opening Inkscape.
@4
This issue has been resolved by the 2.0

Title:
Suggestion (Your page says I can use this to make suggestions)
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I have three suggestions (as well as an issue to report). I'm using
this place to make the suggestions because the "Need help?" section of
the OpenShot page says I can make suggestions here.
The first suggestion I want to make is when the progress bar for the
video export appears, I'd like it to tell me how far along it is in
the rendering process as well as an estimated amount of time
remaining, for example: "53% complete, 7 minutes remaining".
The second suggestion is the ability to see audio wave forms on the
video and audio tracks, as well as a separate audio track for the
audio (which could be connected to video tracks too). Maybe this
already exists, but if not, I guess it's still a suggestion.
Thirdly, I think when adding a title so that I can overlay captions
over the video, it should automatically continue text on the next line
after the first line is full, so the text doesn't go over the edges of
the video, and so I don't have to open InkScape to fix it.
The issue I have isn't really major, but it is a little annoying.
Sometimes the program crashes when I attempt to scroll through the
video tracks using the marker that shows what part of the video is
being played.
I am running a 64-bit version of Ubuntu 15.04, and I installed the
program using the PPA through the Terminal. OpenShot is the latest
version as of August 8, 2015 (1.4.3), and I'm not sure how to check
the FFmpeg settings.
