Moving the tutorial dialog with Alt-Left Click as suggested by enrico,
and then clicking on hide about 30-40 times finally made it go away.

  Cannot turn off/hide "Tutorial

Bug description:
  Running on Linux, Xubuntu 16.04 64 bit, using the AppIamge 2.1

  I click the hide button but nothing happens, do some thing in another
  part of the screen, and the Tutorial goes away, but as soon as I
  return to the clips area it comes back.
