[Bug 1682655] [NEW] export video broken [Arch Linux]

Install Method: pacman 2.2.0-3 & AUR bzr 2.3.1 dev (both exhibiting the issue)
MLT version: 6.4.1-5
Qt Version: 4.8.7-16 & 5.8.0-7
ffmpeg: 3.2.4-1 & 2.8.11-1 
Python: 3.6.0-2 & 2.7.13-1 
All except bzr installed via pacman from core Arch repository

terminal output when attempting to invoke "Export Video":
