[Bug 1168722] Re: Unable to play chained ogg streams

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Chromium since that time.

Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) reached end-of-life on May 16, 2014.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported using
currently supported versions of Chromium and Ubuntu?

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

I've found that after a few months of Chromium being able to play back
chained ogg streams from Icecast this is no longer the case. When
playing back a chained ogg the decoder should be able to continue the
stream without pause or stopping, I've found that at the end of every
song or segment Chromium has begun to stop playback.

This issue has been raised with the Chromium developers as well,
  https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=175281 but I
suspect, since there seems to be a bulk of reports coming from Ubuntu
users, it may be possible that Ubuntu may have re-introduced the
broken decoder code in their package.
