Title:
can't boot headless
Status in Mythbuntu:
Invalid
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Trying to boot mythbuntu 10.04 without monitor connected does not
work. I never get a ping reply. When I connect my monitor after
booting, there is no signal being sent to it. If I leave my monitor
connected while booting, everything boots normally and I can remove my
monitor and it continues to work properly.
Fedora 12 had same issue, I was able to aleviate this by entering
vga=xxx in the kernel parameters. However, with grub2 I am unable to
see how to do this. I did find this entry in /boot/grub/grub.cfg:
"set gfxmode=640x480", but this does not appear to do the same thing.
