Message #15707
[Bug 1581083] Re: c++ runtime error: "launch.exe has stopped working" when cutting or moving video tracks on the timeline.
The error you mention seems to be related to OpenShot Video Editor, a video editing software.
Upgrading to the latest version may correct compatibility issues or bugs that are present in previous versions.
Also sometimes, program files can become corrupted. If reinstallation
does not work, check if any antivirus has quarantined launch.exe or any
other critical files.
Review the OpenShot log files.
OpenShot generates log files that may contain more information about the specific error. Check these files for more details about the cause of the error. They are usually located in:
C:\Users\[TuNombreDeUsuario]\.openshot_qt\logs

Title:
c++ runtime error: "launch.exe has stopped working" when cutting or
moving video tracks on the timeline.
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
New
Bug description:
OS: Win 10 build 10586.318 (64bit)
OpenShot version 2.0.7 installed using the windows .msi package downloaded from the official website (http://www.openshot.org/download/). I have no idea about FFmpeg on my system as I have not installed it by my self (I think that comes with the installer) I could not find any information about FFmpeg requirements.
launch.exe has stopped working is the main message given by microsoft
visual c++ runtime library. The precise message is:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\OpenShot Video Editor\launch.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I have Visual Studio community edition installed with Visual C++ and
.NET tools so that could be part of the problem as I have had problems
with the Visual Studio messing up with the runtime libraries before,
but all my other applications and games work just fine at the moment.
