[Bug 477518] Re: Panel icon looks out of place in Ubuntu Karmic
Ok, but this is not an Ubuntu Karmic specific program, it is available
on an assortment of distributions who each have their own color scheme.
Even within Ubuntu 9.10 you can choose different themes which have icons
that differ from the ones in your screenshot. Also, if you change the
linuxdcpp icon it will change that icon everywhere in the GUI, including
in the window titlebars and the about menu; thus matching it to the
panel doesn't make sense. However, this last point is only applicable to
the latest trunk after icon theming was added and not to 1.0.3, which it
sounds like you're using.
With icon theme support you can now override the application-included
icons for each theme. So if you upgrade to latest trunk you can add this
icon you created to
~/.local/share/icons/<your_icon_theme>/scalable/apps/linuxdcpp.svg (may
also need to add png icons at the relevant sizes since png is higher
priority when gtk+ searches for icons) and it should override the
default hicolor theme linuxdcpp icon. You can find a PPA of a recent
trunk version at:

Bug description:
Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 introduced new gnome panel icons which are really sleek. LinuxDC++ panel icon should be modified to match these icons.
