[Bug 571178] Re: Ptokax string conversion on MSG

 

don't use the Win notepad to save the file as UTF-8; notepad adds some
characters, called the BOM, at the beginning of the file and that messes
up pretty much anything that tries to read the file but is not aware of
these control characters (apparently, Lua is not).

try the attached file, i saved it with Vim.
and whenever you want to edit that file, don't do it with the Win notepad or it will add these characters back!

Bug description:
When the Ptokax bot sends a nmdc msg containing the " \t " it gets translated to a adc string containing empty spaces what the client does not display in chat.
