[Bug 587939] Re: dc++ crashes randomly, starting recently
Thanks man!
Nice blog. I should probably check that from time to time. Last time I
checked a few years ago it wasn't updated. It might have been an older
blog though. I don't think it's someone who purposely uses an attack at
least. That person would be banned very fast in that was the case but
who knows, might've been. It would explain why it started happening all
of the sudden after years of it working flawlessly.
Perhaps I should just look more into make the UI changes I want in
source and compile my own build from that. That post about possibly
making it more modular or at least allowing plugins was interesting btw.
Would that include moving around UI elements, changing keyboard
shortcuts etc. too or just other feature additions/changes?

Status in DC++: Invalid
Bug description:
OS version: Windows 7 Professional (all the latest updates)
DC++ version: 0.699 (I don't agree with some of the latest UI changes)
I've been running DC++ 0.699 in Vista (since it went RTM) and until just recently, Windows 7 (since it hit RTM) with no problems what so ever. It has worked fine for weeks at a time. No it can't handle more than 15-20 minutes without crashing. I have yet devised a way to reproduce the bug. I'm working on that. I should proably also say that I "disabled" the version check by routing dcplusplus.sourceforge.net to localhost since there was no way to disable it in the Settings. All I know is that the intruction at 0x00459766 is TEST AL,AL but since it won't allow me to debug it (gets stuck) I don't know what it's supposed to compare.
