no, spaces are not allowed. \s is only one particular form of escaping.

Status in ADCH++: Won't Fix

Bug description:
When using the +cfg name command you can not enter a hubname with spaces 

The new value "Bla Bla Bla !" is invalid, no change done (the name can't contain any space nor new line)
